STATEMENT FROM Ken Ruetenik

Thanks so much for reaching out about this, and thank you for all of your work with SQN.

Growing up in the heights just shy of a mile from the final stop on the Needham MBTA line I'm familiar with the sound of the train horn even though we live far from the stop itself. I'm also well aware of how important it is that we have our commuter rail line, as my mom took the train twice a day into Boston for work when we first moved to Needham.

I'm in full support of installing and upgrading infrastructure to achieve Quiet Zone status similar to what Chelsea is doing right now. I've signed the online petition on the website and encourage you to reach out to me if there are any other ways I can help with your efforts to improve quality of life and safety for our residents who live near the rail stops, and use the commuter rail.
